JOE HOLMES, the guitarist best known for his years with OZZY OSBOURNE and DAVID LEE ROTH, has released his long-awaited self-titled debut solo album. The record arrived June 6, 2026, and features an impressive cast of collaborators — most notably METALLICA bassist ROBERT TRUJILLO and FAITH NO MORE drummer MIKE BORDIN, both of whom shared the stage with Holmes during the OZZY years in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The album contains eight tracks: "Speak Into The Sea," "Cross Eyed Stare," "The Deadfall," "OCIN," "Away," "Lay You Low," "The Crush Of Light," and "Wake Into The Inside." Vocalist Robert Locke handles microphone duties throughout, while Brent Hoffort contributed melodies and lyrics. Rich Mouser co-produced and engineered the album at the Mouse House in Altadena, California.
Holmes got his start studying guitar under the legendary RANDY RHOADS, a formative experience that shaped his playing style from the ground up. He went on to join DAVID LEE ROTH's band before landing his most high-profile role in OZZY OSBOURNE's touring and recording lineup. He co-wrote three tracks on OZZY's 2001 album Down To Earth, cementing his place in the Prince of Darkness's legacy.
